Three young men from Hanoi tricked Mr. VVL in Van Hoi commune, Ninh Giang out of 4 million VND deposit to buy a motorbike on social networks.

On September 19, the People's Court of Ninh Giang district sentenced Nguyen Van Quan (born in 1988) to 28 months in prison, Nguyen Quang Duong (born in 2004) to 26 months in prison and Ngo Ngoc Dong (born in 2004) to 24 months in prison, all from Ung Hoa district, Hanoi, for fraud and property appropriation.
Around the end of December 2023, Quan and Duong advertised unregistered motorbikes for sale at cheap prices on Facebook and tried to lure buyers into depositing money. Since February, Duong has invited Dong to join in the motorbike sale scam.
In just 3 months (from January to March 2024), the above 3 subjects appropriated 83,250,000 VND from 19 people. Among those defrauded by Quan, Duong and Dong was Mr. VVL (born in 1999) in Van Hoi commune, Ninh Giang district, who was defrauded of 4 million VND. Mr. L. reported the above incident to Hai Duong Provincial Police.
