After hiding guns, knives, swords and cleavers at home, three subjects in Hai Duong City brought weapons to a bar and were arrested.
The People's Court of Hai Duong province has just sentenced three defendants in Hai Duong city, including Pham Thanh Tung (born in 1997, in Quang Trung ward) to 22 months in prison; Tran Huu Tuan (born in 1998, in Binh Han ward) and Pham Manh Tuan (born in 1994, in Quang Trung ward) both to 16 months in prison for illegally possessing military weapons.
According to the indictment, in January 2024, Tung called Manh Tuan and asked him to keep a bag of belongings for him to go to a fight. Tung brought the bag to the altar room on the 5th floor of Tuan's house in Quang Trung ward.
A few days later, Manh Tuan opened the two bags and found a gun, a knife, a sword, and a butcher knife inside. At the end of May 2024, Tuan called Tung and told him to bring the gun and other weapons to another place.
Tung called Huu Tuan again to send 2 bags containing guns and the above weapons to Huu Tuan's rented house in Nguyen Trai ward to hide.
In early June 2024, Huu Tuan went to his wife's hometown in Lai Chau, so he called Tung and asked him to send the gun and weapons elsewhere. Tung called Manh Tuan and asked him to send the gun and weapons, and Manh Tuan agreed. After that, Huu Tuan brought 2 bags ofpromised to bring the gun and weapons to Manh Tuan's house to hide.
At 10:50 p.m. on July 6, 2024, Tung called Huu Tuan and told him to bring the gun to the bar on Pham Van Dong Street, Thanh Binh Ward (Hai Duong City) for Tung.
Huu Tuan called Manh Tuan to come get the bag containing the gun, knife, sword and cleaver.
When arriving at the area in front of the bar, Huu Tuan got out of the car, holding 2 bags containing guns and weapons, and was discovered and arrested by the Investigation Police Agency (Hai Duong City Police) and the evidence was seized.
After committing the crime, Tung fled. On December 3, 2024, Tung surrendered to Hai Duong Provincial Police.
In this case, Tung played the main role in the case, Manh Tuan and Huu Tuan committed the crime as accomplices who were active practitioners.
