Buying drugs from Yen Bai to Hai Duong to sell, 5 defendants received nearly 100 years in prison

Five defendants from Hai Duong and Yen Bai were sentenced to a total of 97 years in prison for illegal drug trafficking.

The People's Court of Hai Duong province has just held a first-instance trial and sentenced Pham Thi Hue (born in 1974, residing in Thuc Khang commune, Binh Giang) to 20 years in prison; Nong Van Vuong (born in 1982) to 20 years in prison; Hoang Thi Nghien (born in 1958, residing in Nghia An commune, Nghia Lo town, Yen Bai) to 17 years in prison; Hoang Van Hop (born in 1982, residing in Phuc Son commune, Nghia Lo town, Yen Bai) to 20 years in prison; Giang A Ho (born in 1988, residing in Tuc Dan commune, Tram Tau district, Yen Bai) to 20 years in prison, all for the crime of illegal drug trafficking.

According to the indictment, on May 19, 2024, at Vuong's house in Nghia An commune, Nghia Lo town, Vuong sold Nghien a package of drugs for 85 million VND. After that, Nghien and Hop sold the above drugs to Hue for 90 million VND.

Hue sold part of the drugs to an unknown man in Cam Giang (Hai Duong) for 85 million VND. The remaining 18.766 grams of heroin, Hue hid with 8.216 grams of opium resin near the altar of her parents' house in Ke Sat town (Binh Giang).

On June 19, 2024, at Vuong's house, Giang A Ho sold 173.424 grams of heroin to Vuong and Hop for 70 million VND. Hop sold the above drugs to Hue for 90 million VND. Hue received the drugs but had not yet sold them when she was discovered and caught red-handed at 8:00 p.m. on June 19, 2024 in Vinh Hung commune (Binh Giang).

In this case, Hue, Hop, and Vuong played the main roles. Nghien and Giang A Ho were the executors.
