The historical site of Dong Loc T-junction is located in Dong Loc commune, Can Loc district, Ha Tinh province. This place records the names of more than 4,000 youth volunteer martyrs nationwide and youth volunteer martyrs who sacrificed their lives at Dong Loc T-junction during the war against the US to save the country, including 64 martyrs from Hai Duong. This is an important traffic junction. During the war, the US imperialists tried to destroy this area to cut off the vital route, preventing the support of human resources, resources, weapons, and food from the northern rear to the large southern front.
On this sacred land, at 4:00 p.m. on July 24, 1968, a squad of 10 female youth volunteers heroically sacrificed their lives, dedicating their entire youth to connecting the traffic between the rear and the great front, contributing to bringing the country to total victory. The names of the 10 girls will forever be remembered by the people of the whole country and international friends as a beautiful symbol of the heroic Vietnamese people.
