Proposal to prosecute murder suspect to prevent ex-lover's wedding

On the afternoon of May 7, Bac Ninh Provincial Police announced that they had completed the investigation and transferred the case file to the People's Procuracy at the same level to propose prosecuting Vu Dang Manh (23 years old, in Mao Dien commune, Thuan Thanh district, Bac Ninh province) for murder.

Police determined that Vu Dang Manh had a relationship with Ms. VTS (23 years old, same commune) but was forced to break up because their families forbade it. Later, Manh discovered that Ms. S. was preparing to marry Mr. NTT (24 years old).

Manh talked to his ex-girlfriend and found out that Ms. S. was forced to marry Mr. T. even though she didn't love him, so Manh tried to prevent this.

At around 11:30 p.m. on December 29, 2022, Manh prepared a knife and broke into Mr. NTG's house (Mr. T's father). At around 2 a.m. the next day, the subject attacked Mr. G. and his wife, Ms. NTH. The incident left Mr. G. dead on the spot and Ms. H. seriously injured. After committing the crime, Manh left the scene.

The police conducted an autopsy and found multiple stab wounds on Mr. G's body. After more than 15 hours of actively fighting and pursuing the perpetrator, the police arrested Vu Dang Manh.
