Four people in Hai Duong City have just been sentenced by the court for disturbing public order because of a fight at a night restaurant that caused insecurity and disorder in the area.
Hai Duong City People's Court has just held a first-instance trial of 4 defendants in Hai Duong City for disturbing public order.
The court sentenced Pham Sy Khanh (born in 1996, in Ngoc Chau ward) to 2 years and 6 months in prison; Le Van Hoa (born in 1996, in Binh Han ward) to 2 years and 4 months in prison; Dinh Van Dung (born in 1997, in Cam Thuong ward) and Doan Hung Viet (born in 1996, in Quang Trung ward) to 2 years in prison.
According to the indictment, at 1:00 a.m. on June 27, 2024, Nguyen Duc Hung (in Quang Trung ward) along with Khanh and many others went to have a late-night meal on Dien Bien Phu street, Binh Han ward (Hai Duong city) with the purpose of resolving a previous conflict between Hung and Khanh.
After that, Mr. Vu Anh Tu (born in 1985, in Quang Trung ward) and Dung came to the restaurant, sat down to eat and drink at a table on the sidewalk in front of the restaurant. Because they knew each other, Mr. Tu went to Hung's group's table to drink beer and socialize, then returned to his own table.
Khanh went to Tu's table to drink beer and socialize when Hung picked up a pipe from the restaurant and swung it at Khanh. Khanh dodged and the pipe hit Tu on the bridge of his nose, causing him to bleed from the nose.
Then, Khanh, Dung, Viet, and Hoa used ceramic plates, glass cups, plastic chairs, and ladles to chase and beat Hung, causing injuries to his face and head.
The incident negatively affected security and social order and safety in the area.
In this case, the defendants Khanh, Dung, Hoa, and Viet, accomplices, were all active practitioners.
Nguyen Duc Hung used a tobacco pipe to hit Mr. Tu, causing soft tissue injuries but no physical injuries.
Hai Duong City Police have administratively fined Hung.
Because Hung escaped, the Investigation Agency separated Hung's disturbing behavior to handle according to the law.
