After brutally murdering a man with more than 20 stabs, including fatal stabs, Tran Luu Anh Bach fled but was arrested by the police 3 days after committing the crime.
On the afternoon of November 18, Binh Thuan Provincial Police announced that they had arrested the perpetrator in the murder case on Han Thuyen Street, Lac Dao Ward, Phan Thiet City. The perpetrator was identified as Tran Luu Anh Bach (born in 1992, residing in Quarter 4, Duc Thang Ward, Phan Thiet City).
Previously, at around 0:15 a.m. on November 15, people discovered a man lying motionless in a pool of blood on Han Thuyen Street, Lac Dao Ward, Phan Thiet City.
Initial examination of the victim identified him as PVS (born in 1976, residing in Binh Hung Ward, Phan Thiet City). The autopsy revealed that the victim had been brutally murdered, with more than 20 wounds on his body, including fatal stab wounds.
The investigation process encountered many difficulties such as the victim had a closed relationship and had no conflicts with anyone. The victim did not use a mobile phone, the location of the crime had no houses, no street lights, it happened late at night, and there were few people passing by...
Given the complexity of the case, Binh Thuan Provincial Police established a special investigation team headed by Colonel Huynh Ngoc Liem, Deputy Director and Head of the Investigation Police Agency of Binh Thuan Provincial Police, to focus on forces and technical means to investigate and clarify the case as soon as possible.
The task force mobilized nearly 100 officers and soldiers to participate in solving the case. During the process of fighting the task force, the task force used synchronous professional measures combined with modern technical means; at the same time, mobilized the masses to participate in preventing crime in the locality.
During the investigation, the Task Force identified the suspect who committed the crime as Tran Luu Anh Bach and invited him to come in for questioning.
Initially, the subject confessed that at around 11:50 p.m. on November 14, Bach drove a motorbike carrying PVS down Han Thuyen Street. When they arrived, Bach used a knife to stab S multiple times. Afterwards, Bach drove the motorbike home.
From Bach's testimony, the police seized the knife that the subject threw into the bushes near his house.
The police have issued an emergency arrest warrant for Bach and are continuing to investigate and handle the case according to regulations.
