Arrest of murderer and drug trafficker

Subject Nguyen Hong Son (born November 9, 1983, residing in Kim Quang village, Quang Tho commune, Vu Quang district) was arrested while hiding in a camp in Sub-region 182, Vu Quang National Park (in Kim Quang village, Quang Tho commune, Vu Quang district, Ha Tinh province). The authorities seized at the scene 25,600 pink pills, 175 grams of heroin, 6.0 grams of methamphetamine, 1 plastic bag containing crystal meth; 1 plastic bag containing opium; 2 sets of drug paraphernalia, 1 sport gun, 46 bullets, 2 mines, 1 electric detonator, 2 knives, 4 mobile phones and many other related items.

Nguyen Hong Son was wanted for "Murder" on May 15, 2022 and then fled the scene. After committing the crime, to hide his identity and avoid detection by the authorities, Nguyen Hong Son fled into the deep forest, living in seclusion in abandoned shacks in the border area with Laos.

Nguyen Hong Son colluded with a group of Lao people and other people in Vu Quang district to transport drugs from Laos to Vietnam, then to other provinces and cities across the country for consumption. This group regularly provided Son with food, personal items, cell phones and weapons while he was in hiding.

In the initial stages of the struggle, Nguyen Hong Son admitted his crime.

Recently, Vu Quang District Police and provincial police units have mobilized maximum forces to organize arrests, but have not been successful because the subject frequently moves and is ready to use guns to fight back.
