Having two previous convictions for rape and child molestation, after being released from prison for 4 months, Nguyen Hoang Huy continued to abuse 10 other children.
On March 20, Huy, 38 years old, was sentenced to life in prison by the People's Court of Kien Giang province for raping a person under 16 years old and robbing property.
At the age of 18, Huy was sentenced to 11 years in prison for robbery and child rape. Less than a month after his release, he was sentenced to 12 years in prison for robbery and child molestation in September 2014.
In July 2022, after completing his prison sentence, he returned to his hometown in Chau Phu district, An Giang province to live.
According to the indictment, less than 4 months later, in 23 days, from November 10, 2022 to December 2, 2022, he committed 7 consecutive robberies and rapes of children. A total of 10 victims aged 6 to 13 in the provinces of An Giang, Kien Giang, Ca Mau, and Bac Lieu.
