Hai Duong solemnly held the 120th anniversary of the birth of comrade Nguyen Luong Bang

Comrades: Nguyen Xuan Thang, Politburo member, Director of Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council; Vo Thi Anh Xuan, Party Central Committee member, Acting President attended the ceremony.

Attending the ceremony were former Party and State leaders from Hai Duong: Nguyen Thi Xuan My, former Politburo member, former Head of the Central Inspection Commission; Nguyen Duc Kien, former Party Central Committee member, former Vice Chairman of the National Assembly, former Secretary of Hai Duong Provincial Party Committee.

Also attending the ceremony were leaders of Thanh Tung commune (Thanh Mien) - the hometown of comrade Nguyen Luong Bang and leaders of localities and units honored to bear the name and alias of comrade Nguyen Luong Bang; representatives of comrade Nguyen Luong Bang's family and clan and many representatives of all walks of life.

At the ceremony, the Secretary of the Hai Duong Provincial Party Committee respectfully read a speech reviewing the life, glorious revolutionary career, exemplary model, and great personality of Vice President Nguyen Luong Bang.

The speech affirmed that with 75 years of age and more than half a century of fighting for independence, freedom and socialism under the flag of the Party and President Ho Chi Minh, comrade Nguyen Luong Bang is a shining example of a leader devoted to national independence, freedom and happiness of the people.

The revolutionary history of our Party and nation recognizes the great contributions of comrade Nguyen Luong Bang, but it is rare and very special that two symbolic names of comrade Nguyen Luong Bang are forever passed down in revolutionary generations: Sao Do - a symbol of the indomitable will of the communists; Anh Ca - a symbol of exemplary conduct and the purity of comradeship. Celebrating the 120th anniversary of the birth of comrade Nguyen Luong Bang, we are proud and grateful to the outstanding son of the nation and of Hai Duong homeland. We understand and engrave in our hearts the extremely valuable revolutionary lessons for the cause of building and developing our homeland and country today...

Promoting the tradition of the ancient Eastern land, Hai Duong today, learning from the example of the great President Ho Chi Minh, comrade Nguyen Luong Bang and generations of revolutionary predecessors, the Party Committee and people of Hai Duong have persevered, overcome difficulties and made important contributions through revolutionary periods, contributing with the entire Party, the entire people and the entire army of the whole country to gain glorious victories in the struggle for national liberation, national unification, and building the homeland of Hai Duong to become increasingly rich, beautiful, democratic and civilized.

In particular, implementing the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress and the Resolution of the 17th Provincial Party Congress, in recent years, the Party Committee and the people of the province have made constant efforts and achieved very comprehensive achievements in all fields. The scale of Hai Duong's economy is increasingly large, currently ranking 11th out of 63 provinces and cities nationwide. The economy continues to maintain growth, with the total product in the province (GRDP) in the 2021-2023 period increasing by an average of 8.58% per year. Since 2017, our province has balanced its budget. Hai Duong is one of the first 5 provinces in the country to complete the task of building new rural areas.

Grateful and following the example of comrade Nguyen Luong Bang, Hai Duong Provincial Party Secretary Tran Duc Thang called on all levels of Party committees, authorities, political systems from the province to the grassroots, each Party member and all classes of people to unite and continue to strive to successfully carry out the tasks.

The focus is to promote the will and aspiration to build and develop a rich, civilized homeland; to build a proactive, positive, innovative and creative spirit with strategic thinking and vision; to have high determination and great efforts, striving to make Hai Duong a modern industrial province by 2025, and a modern industrial province by 2030, creating a foundation for Hai Duong to soon meet the criteria of a centrally-run city.

Hai Duong Provincial Party Secretary Tran Duc Thang emphasized that Party committees at all levels need to regularly pay attention to Party building in all aspects. Continue to seriously and effectively implement Party building and rectification in conjunction with studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle and regulations on setting examples. Focus on building a contingent of cadres and Party members, especially key cadres at all levels, who are truly pioneering and exemplary, always cultivating revolutionary ethics, sense of organization and discipline, with sufficient responsibility and capacity to fulfill their tasks well; strive to be worthy of the Party, the Fatherland and the people.

The Secretary of the Hai Duong Provincial Party Committee respectfully thanked the leaders, former leaders of the Party, the State, the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the departments, ministries, branches, central agencies, Military Region 3, localities, units and compatriots, comrades nationwide where Comrade Nguyen Luong Bang used to work, work and suffer hardships in prison for their affection, attention and valuable help to Hai Duong. He hoped that in the coming time, Hai Duong - the hometown of Comrade Nguyen Luong Bang and many other outstanding senior leaders of the Party and the Vietnamese revolution - would continue to receive more attention, support and help.

At the ceremony, on behalf of Hai Duong youth, comrade Vu Thi Hoa, Secretary of the Youth Union of Thanh Tung commune (Thanh Mien) - the hometown of comrade Nguyen Luong Bang, expressed her pride, respect and gratitude to comrade Nguyen Luong Bang and previous generations of revolutionary leaders who were intelligent, brave, and ready to fight and sacrifice to brighten the flag of national determination to fight and win.

Comrade Vu Thi Hoa expressed her absolute confidence in following the path chosen by the Party, Uncle Ho and the predecessors. She promised to persevere in studying and following the ideology, morality and style of President Ho Chi Minh, to constantly train her mind to be bright, to build great ambitions; to be a pioneer in studying, working and producing; to master science and technology; to volunteer to join hands with the community, ready to go anywhere to do anything the Fatherland needs; to be determined to preserve and promote the noble way of life, the aspiration to contribute and the sacred values ​​of the nation's soul that generations of ancestors have worked hard to build...

Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Tuong Van, the eldest daughter of comrade Nguyen Luong Bang, on behalf of the family, expressed her emotions and expressed her sincere and deep gratitude to the central, provincial, district and Thanh Tung commune agencies, departments and branches; and the people of all walks of life in the province for their enthusiastic support, response and cooperation in organizing the solemn, friendly and warm 120th anniversary of comrade Nguyen Luong Bang's birth.
