After injecting an unknown drug into her abdomen for cosmetic purposes, the girl had convulsions, stopped breathing and died shortly thereafter.
On November 15, authorities in Dong Phu district (Binh Phuoc) are investigating the cause of death of a female spa employee after injecting herself with drugs for beauty purposes.
The victim is Ms. HTHT (27 years old, residing in Dong Xoai city), working as a freelance spa worker in Dong Phu district.
Initial information, on the evening of November 14, at Ms. T.'s biological mother's house in Hamlet 5 (Tan Hung Commune, Dong Phu District), Ms. T. brought spa equipment to inject herself into her abdomen to beautify herself. After a while of injecting, Ms. T. showed signs of convulsions and fell to the bathroom floor.
Seeing this, Ms. T.'s mother quickly called for help to take her daughter to the emergency room. However, by the morning of November 15, Ms. T. had died.
According to initial diagnosis, the victim suffered cardiac arrest and respiratory arrest before being admitted to the hospital, suspected to be due to a severe anaphylactic reaction to an unknown type of pharmaceutical drug.
