Prosecution of "Vietnam Golden Ball 2017"

On May 14, the People's Procuracy of Ha Tinh City announced that it had approved the decision to prosecute the device and temporarily detain Trung, Nguyen Trung Hoc, Nguyen Ngoc Thang, Duong Quang Tuan, and Nguyen Van Truong.Total of illegal drug use functions, according to Article 255 of the Penal Code.

According to the investigation, on May 4, Ha Tinh police inspected two rooms at a hotel in the center of Ha Tinh city and discovered that the group of players had organized illegal drug use. Many plastic bags of pure drugs were seized.

Dinh Thanh Trung - Golden Ball 2017, won the V-League championship in the same year with Quang Nam. Nguyen Ngoc Thang - a young and promising central defender of U23 Vietnam who just participated in the U23 Asian Cup finals in Qatar. Nguyen Trung Hoc is also a key midfielder with good skills, has been with Ha Tinh for many years, often plays as a starter, and has been the captain in some matches.

On the afternoon of May 8, the Disciplinary Board of the Vietnam Football Federation decided to ban five Ha Tinh players from playing. The disciplinary rules are applied in the VFF national football management solutions owned by the VFF and are effective until a replacement decision is made.

The team is currently ranked 11th in the V-League 2023-2024 rankings after 18 rounds, with 21 points.
