According to Thai Binh Provincial Police, on December 26, the Investigation Police Agency (Provincial Police) issued a decision to supplement the decision to prosecute criminal case No. 13/QD-CSDT, supplement the decision to prosecute defendant No. 05/QD-CSDT against Luu Binh Nhuong for the crime of Taking advantage of position and power to influence others for personal gain, as prescribed in Clause 4, Article 358 of the Penal Code.
The above decision has been approved by the People's Procuracy of Thai Binh province.
This is a new development in the process of expanding the investigation into the case of Extortion of property that occurred in Thai Thuy district (Thai Binh province) handled by the Investigation Police Agency (Provincial Police).

Previously, on November 14, 2023, the Investigation Police Agency (Thai Binh Provincial Police) issued a Decision to prosecute the accused, an Order to arrest the accused for temporary detention, and a Search Order for the residence and workplace of Luu Binh Nhuong (born in 1963, hometown in Hung Dung commune, Hung Ha district, Thai Binh province; residing in Tay Ho district, Hanoi) to investigate the crime of Extortion of property as prescribed in Article 170 of the Penal Code.
