During his visit to several localities and inspection of several projects in Hai Duong province on the afternoon of January 10, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh requested the effective implementation of projects, creation and exploitation of new development space as well as good implementation of social security work.
On the afternoon of January 10, within the framework of the visit and work in Hai Duong on the occasion of the province announcing the planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, Comrade Pham Minh Chinh, Politburo member, Prime Minister offered incense at the Memorial of President Ho Chi Minh in Nam Chinh commune (Nam Sach), presented gifts to a number of poor households in Thai Hoc ward (Chi Linh) and inspected a number of projects implemented in Chi Linh city.

People's lives next year are more prosperous and happier than last year.
In the early afternoon, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and his delegation offered incense at the President Ho Chi Minh Memorial Site in Nam Chinh Commune (Nam Sach). This is the place where Uncle Ho visited and talked with officials and people in the commune on February 15, 1965.
The Prime Minister congratulated Nam Chinh commune for its effective movement of keeping the environment clean and preventing diseases for the people. The Prime Minister hoped that in the coming time, Nam Chinh commune as well as the whole Hai Duong province would continue to revive, nurture and further promote the movement of maintaining hygiene, a green, clean and beautiful environment and preventing diseases effectively; not sacrificing environmental protection to pursue simple growth; contributing to building a sustainable new countryside and improving the spiritual and material life of the people.
Also here, the Prime Minister visited and encouraged Ms. Dang Thi Van, born in 1923, who had talked with Uncle Ho when he visited Nam Chinh commune.
Visiting, encouraging and giving gifts to 100 poor households in Thai Hoc ward (Chi Linh), the Prime Minister re-emphasized the message "No one should go without Tet, no one should be left behind", especially for the poor and policy beneficiaries as the traditional Tet holiday is approaching.
The Prime Minister acknowledged Hai Duong's efforts, endeavors and determination in socio-economic development. The province has achieved quite comprehensive results in all areas, with a growth rate higher than the national average. In particular, the province has done a good job in social security. The poverty rate in the province is lower than the national average.
Regarding Chi Linh, the Prime Minister congratulated the city for achieving and exceeding the set development targets. The city's poverty rate is lower than the national average as well as that of Hai Duong province. The city is increasingly spacious and clean. As a special land with many unique features, heroic traditions, glorious history, especially the efforts of the entire city in striving to become a city under the province, the socio-economic development of Chi Linh has contributed to the overall growth of the whole province.
The Prime Minister requested the Party Committee and authorities at all levels of Hai Duong to continue promoting the tradition of "helping each other", not sacrificing fairness, social progress, social security, and the environment to pursue mere growth. Hai Duong in general and Chi Linh in particular need to create a patriotic emulation movement and comprehensive development so that every citizen is proud to be a child of Hai Duong province.
The Prime Minister also requested provincial leaders at all levels to take time to visit and grasp the situation to more effectively direct social security work in general and care for people during the Lunar New Year in particular.
With the efforts and determination of the entire province, the Prime Minister expressed his belief that Hai Duong will develop further and perform better in social security work, so that next year people will have a more prosperous and happier life than last year.
Effectively deploy projects, exploit new development space
On the same afternoon, the Prime Minister and the working delegation inspected the projects: upgrading National Highway 37 through the Con Son-Kiep Bac special national relic site; Thanh Long Lake eco-tourism area (in Chi Linh City).
Regarding the project to upgrade National Highway 37, the Prime Minister welcomed Hai Duong to implement the project to create connections with the two provinces of Quang Ninh and Bac Giang. Emphasizing that this is an important project, creating a premise to open up and exploit new development space, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh requested that it is necessary to study and implement the construction of a 4-lane road, study the route direction, and appropriate traffic plans.
Regarding the Thanh Long Lake eco-tourism project, the Prime Minister requested the development of zoning plans and related sectoral plans. From there, the project will be submitted to the competent authority for approval. Based on the project development, the plan for mobilizing resources for implementation, implementation progress, and investment phases will be clarified. The Prime Minister assessed that although the conditions for implementing the project are more favorable than some similar projects that have been implemented nationwide, the two provinces of Hai Duong and Bac Giang are required to coordinate effectively with determination and great efforts.
The Prime Minister said the project will create opportunities to develop green tourism, adding more significance to the relic and scenic complex of Con Son, Kiep Bac-Yen Tu-Vinh Nghiem, which the three provinces of Hai Duong, Quang Ninh, and Bac Giang are submitting to UNESCO for recognition as a world heritage site.
The Prime Minister also inspected the Dong Viet bridge construction project connecting the two banks of the Thuong River between Hai Duong and Bac Giang provinces.
At the end of his working trip on the afternoon of January 10, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh once again wished Hai Duong rapid, comprehensive, inclusive and sustainable development.
