Hai Duong is ready to welcome investment projects from the Czech Republic.

On October 24, according to the working program in Europe, comrade Tran Duc Thang, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and the working delegation of Hai Duong province worked with the Czech Republic Chamber of Commerce to discuss issues related to trade and investment promotion of the two localities.

Working with the Hai Duong Provincial Delegation were Mr. Jlja mazanek, Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce, Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Czech Chamber of Commerce and colleagues.

Speaking at the meeting, Provincial Party Secretary Tran Duc Thang highly appreciated the good traditional relationship between the two countries that has continuously developed over the past 75 years.

The Secretary of Hai Duong Provincial Party Committee informed about the socio-economic situation of Vietnam, Hai Duong and the province's desire for investment cooperation in the Czech Republic.

Mr. Jlja Mazaneck highly appreciated the trade turnover between the two countries, and informed about issues that the two sides can cooperate on in the coming time in Vietnam such as: Skoda car assembly project (owned by Volkswagen Group) and Nurse training project to work in the Czech Republic.

Comrade Tran Duc Thang highly agreed with the proposal of the Czech Chamber of Commerce and affirmed that Hai Duong province is ready to welcome the above projects. Regarding the Skoda car assembly project, the province has also welcomed leaders of the Wolkswagen Group and Thanh Cong Group to survey and also has plans to invest in Hai Duong. Regarding cooperation in providing labor in the medical field, Hai Duong province is ready to meet the requirements of the neighboring country because there are many medical schools in the area.

At the end of the meeting, the two sides agreed to select 100 nurses trained in Hai Duong to work in the Czech Republic in 2024.

At the end of 2024, the Czech Chamber of Commerce will establish a working group to visit Vietnam and Hai Duong to survey and sign necessary documents to implement the above projects on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries and will be upgraded to a strategic partnership.
