Provincial Party Secretary Tran Duc Thang attended the opening ceremony at Hai Duong University.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the new school year of Hai Duong University on the afternoon of October 18, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Tran Duc Thang praised the positive results the school has achieved in the past time. This result is proof that the merger of Hai Duong College and Hai Duong University to create a new look for the school is the right policy, aiming to realize the goal of building Hai Duong University into a key university of the province and the Red River Delta region.

Hai Duong is striving to become a modern industrial province by 2030, meeting some basic criteria of a centrally-run city; and by 2050 becoming a centrally-run city. Therefore, in the coming years, along with the whole country, Hai Duong province must actively and proactively take advantage of opportunities and advantages to overcome difficulties and challenges, in which people are the decisive factor.

The Provincial Party Secretary suggested that the school nurture, encourage and more strongly stimulate human creativity, and pay more attention to the strategy of training high-quality human resources for society.

The Provincial Party Secretary requested Hai Duong University to continue promoting the tradition of solidarity, innovation, creativity, and synchronously deploying solutions of the education and training sector in the spirit of Conclusion No. 91-KL/TW of the Politburo to continue implementing Resolution No. 29-NQ/TW (term XI). The spirit of fundamental and comprehensive innovation in education and training must start from innovation in thinking, doing, sense of responsibility, and working methods.

The school needs to continue to improve the quality and effectiveness of training activities, strongly develop professional capacity for learners; invest in developing the quality of teaching staff and management staff. Focus on accelerating the goal of digital transformation; strengthen links and cooperation in training at home and abroad, especially in areas that Hai Duong province needs.

The school needs to closely coordinate with local authorities and authorities to ensure that students have a safe and healthy social environment and the best educational environment for studying and training; closely coordinate with provincial departments and branches to continue to advise and propose investment in modern facilities and equipment.

In the immediate future, in coordination with the Department of Construction, the Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board will speed up the progress and complete procedures to implement the school construction project in Lien Hong Commune (Hai Duong City). It is expected that this project will start construction in April 2025 and be put into use from 2026.

The Provincial Party Secretary emphasized that the school needs to soon research and develop a development strategy for each stage in the future to submit to the Provincial People's Committee for approval.

Cadres, teachers and staff continue to promote the study and follow of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style. Deeply combine teaching literacy, vocational training, teaching people, especially teaching people, linking knowledge learning with political and ideological education, cultivating morality and lifestyle, aiming to create truly virtuous and talented people, both "red" and "specialized" in serving the people and the Fatherland...

On this occasion, Hai Duong University had 2 individuals awarded certificates of merit by the Prime Minister, 1 group and 5 individuals awarded certificates of merit by the People's Committee of Hai Duong province. Hai Duong University awarded 10 students with excellent admission results, valedictorians of the 2024 university entrance exam.
