Proposing the Dutch Government to provide non-refundable aid to build a wastewater treatment system in Hai Duong

The delegation of Hai Duong province worked with Royal HaskoningDHV Group and proposed the Dutch Government to provide non-refundable aid for the wastewater treatment project.

On October 28, according to the working program, comrade Tran Duc Thang, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and the working delegation of Hai Duong province worked with Royal HaskoningDHV Group (Netherlands).

This is a consulting group for the Dutch Government in selecting wastewater treatment projects in developing countries for non-refundable construction aid.

Mr. Ngo Huong Nam, Vietnamese Ambassador to the Netherlands and Mr. Jasper de Wit, CEO of Royal HaskoningDHV Group attended the meeting.

Comrade Tran Duc Thang, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Hai Duong Provincial Party Committee presented souvenirs to Mr. Ngo Huong Nam, Vietnamese Ambassador to the Netherlands and Mr. Jasper de Wit, CEO of Royal HaskoningDHV Group.

At the meeting, the leaders of Royal HaskoningDHV Company gave an overview of the criteria and conditions of the projects to be considered for aid by the Dutch Government; the objectives, commitments on quality, sustainable development and environmental protection.

In 2007, Royal HaskoningDHV Group advised the Dutch Government to provide non-refundable aid to Hai Duong province to invest in the construction of Cam Thuong Water Plant under the ORET Program with a total cost of more than 8.5 million EURO.

The project was completed and put into operation in April 2011 with the quality of exploited water and treated water always meeting the prescribed standards, well serving the clean water needs of Hai Duong city.

Hai Duong has completed the dossier to submit to the Ministry of Planning and Investment to propose the construction of a wastewater collection and treatment system for urban areas in Chi Linh City, Kinh Mon Town, Gia Loc, Cam Giang and Nam Sach districts using non-refundable aid from the Dutch Government and provincial budget capital. The project will also be consulted by Royal HaskoningDHV for the Dutch Government to consider granting non-refundable aid under the DRIVE program.

On October 29, the Hai Duong Provincial Delegation will work with Invest International - the Dutch aid agency to exchange information about the above project as requested by the province to the Dutch Government, concluding the working trip in Europe.
