Visiting and presenting gifts to former female revolutionary prisoners, Hai Duong Provincial Party Secretary Tran Duc Thang expressed his deep gratitude and asked Party committees and authorities at all levels to continue to do a better job of caring for people with meritorious services.
On the morning of March 5, comrade Tran Duc Thang, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Hai Duong Provincial Party Committee visited and presented gifts to three former female revolutionary prisoners in Hai Duong City on the occasion of the 115th anniversary of International Women's Day (March 8), the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and national reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).
Also attending were members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee: Nguyen Thi Ngoc Bich, Permanent Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council; Nguyen Duc Tuan, Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee; Le Dinh Long, Secretary of the Hai Duong City Party Committee and leaders of the Hai Duong Provincial Women's Union.
The delegation visited former female revolutionary prisoners: Hoang Thi Hoai (born in 1928) in zone 7, Hai Tan ward; Hoang Thi Dam (born in 1930) in zone 4, Thanh Binh ward and Pham Thi Gam (born in 1930) in Thach Khoi ward.
Ms. Hoai participated in the revolution from September 1945 to April 1975. She was imprisoned from December 1950 to March 1954 at Hai Duong Prison and Hoa Lo Prison.
Mrs. Dam participated in the revolution from October 1948 to June 1950. She was imprisoned in Hai Duong Prison from June 1950 to November 1954.
Mrs. Gam was a guerrilla, imprisoned in Hai Duong Prison from March 1954 to June 1954.
Visiting the former female prisoners, Hai Duong Provincial Party Secretary Tran Duc Thang expressed his deep gratitude to the revolutionary soldiers who were captured and imprisoned by the enemy. Despite being in extremely difficult circumstances, imprisoned and tortured by the enemy in many ways, the former female prisoners were always loyal to the revolution. They are shining examples of communist loyalty for future generations to follow.
The Provincial Party Secretary emphasized that over the past time, the Party, the State and Hai Duong province have always paid much attention and care to those who have contributed to the country. He wished them good health, longevity and happiness with their families. At the same time, he requested that local Party committees, authorities, organizations and unions continue to do a better job of taking care of the material and spiritual lives of those who have contributed to the country.
On the occasion of the 115th anniversary of International Women's Day March 8, the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and national reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), the Provincial Women's Union advised the Standing Committee of the Hai Duong Provincial Party Committee to organize the presentation of gifts to 44 female former revolutionary prisoners in the province, each worth 2.5 million VND.
This is an activity to arouse pride and promote the heroic revolutionary tradition, deep gratitude, and gratitude to generations who sacrificed for the cause of national liberation, building and defending the Fatherland.
