He expressed his respect and gratitude for the great contributions and sacrifices of veterans and martyrs in the resistance war against the French, creating the Dien Bien Phu Victory that "resounded throughout the five continents and shook the world".

The veterans shared and recalled the memorable, arduous and heroic memories of the Dien Bien Phu Campaign. Representatives of the families wished the provincial leaders and the next generations to follow in the footsteps of the previous generations to fulfill their responsibility of protecting, building and developing the country and homeland.
According to the People's Committee of Thanh Ha district, as of April 12, Thanh Ha district still has 47 people who directly participated in the Dien Bien Phu campaign still alive; 25 relatives worship the martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the Dien Bien Phu campaign.
Visiting and giving gifts to some typical policy families is one of the meaningful activities of Hai Duong province on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory (May 7, 1954 - May 7, 2024).
