The murder suspect who dismembered a young girl and dumped her body in the Red River has been arrested while hiding at his home in Thai Binh.
On October 15, according to sources, Hanoi City Police arrested a suspect in a serious murder case involving the dismemberment of a young girl and her body dumped in the Red River in the Bat Trang area (Gia Lam District, Hanoi City). The suspect was identified as the victim’s boyfriend.
Accordingly, the police arrested suspect TDKh. (born in 1985, from Thai Binh, residing in an urban area in Gia Lam district) when he was hiding at his private home in Thai Binh.
When surrounded by police, the suspect used a knife to commit suicide but failed and was taken to the emergency room by police.
Earlier, at around 3 p.m. on October 13, local residents in Bat Trang discovered many pieces of a woman’s body floating on the Red River and reported the incident to the authorities. Upon receiving the news, local authorities arrived to block off the scene for investigation, and brought the body ashore to identify relatives.
According to initial information, the victim was a young girl, the body was wrapped tightly, hidden under many rocks. The victim lived near the Red River, had been missing for about a week, the body showed signs of external impact.
