On the morning of October 17, in Phuoc Tinh commune, Long Dien district, Ba Ria-Vung Tau province, Nguyen Thanh Hung showed signs of drug use and stabbed two people, injuring them before fleeing to Vung Tau city.
On the evening of October 17, the Ba Ria-Vung Tau Provincial Police arrested Nguyen Thanh Hung (born in 1983, Phuoc Tinh Commune, Long Dien District, Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province) at a hotel in Nguyen An Ninh Ward, Vung Tau City.
Hung is the suspect who stabbed one person to death and injured two others in the province.
The suspect has been handed over to the Criminal Police Department of Ba Ria-Vung Tau Provincial Police for further investigation and handling.
Earlier that morning, in Phuoc Tinh commune, Long Dien district, Nguyen Thanh Hung showed signs of drug use, stabbed two people and then fled to Vung Tau city.
At around 1 p.m., Hung arrived at alley 34, Bac Son street, ward 11, Vung Tau city and saw Mr. H. (35 years old, residing in Long Dien district) drinking with friends. Hung approached and stabbed Mr. H. to death. After committing the crime, Hung fled the scene.
Upon receiving the report, the police force promptly deployed and used professional measures to capture the suspect.
Nguyen Thanh Hung is a drug addict and was once taken to compulsory drug rehabilitation by Phuoc Tinh Commune Police.
