Arrest of suspect who stabbed a police officer to death in Thai Binh

Accordingly, after about 15 hours of the perpetrator committing the crime, the Thai Binh Provincial Police task force arrested Vo Tien Manh (21 years old, residing in Quang Binh commune, Kien Xuong district, Thai Binh province) - the suspect who used a knife to attack and stab many times, causing Lieutenant Do Van Tu, a police officer of An Bai town, Quynh Phu district, to die on the night of September 22.

Vo Tien Manh was arrested while hiding at a relative's house in Ninh Binh province and the authorities transferred him to the Criminal Police Department of Thai Binh Province for investigation.

Like As previously reported, at around 9:30 p.m. on September 22, residents reported that a young man who was not a local appeared several times at Group 5, An Bai Town, Quynh Phu District, Thai Binh Province with suspicious behavior.

Upon receiving the news, Lieutenant Do Van Tu (25 years old, An Bai town police officer) who was on duty at the headquarters at that time reported to his superiors and went to the scene to verify the information.

When Lieutenant Tu approached the young man to check information, he was suddenly stabbed repeatedly by this man, causing serious injuries. After committing the crime, the perpetrator quickly left the scene.

Although taken to the hospital immediately afterwards, Lieutenant Tu did not survive.

According to the leader of Thai Binh Provincial Police, Lieutenant Do Van Tu was not married and was a gentle and responsible officer and soldier. During the fight against crime, he sacrificed his life and the organization is making a proposal to recognize him as a martyr.
