2 out-of-towners robbed a motorbike at dawn

Subjects Mac Van Trinh, Cao Van Tu and 2 motorbikes as evidence

At about 5:45 a.m. on May 7, via hotline 151, the Criminal Police Department (Hai Duong Provincial Police) received a report from Ms. Tran Thi Mo (in Thuy Nguyen District, Hai Phong City) about her Honda Lead 29Y1-222.74 being snatched by 2 subjects on a motorbike 23K1-080.38 in Thuy Nguyen District. After committing the crime, the 2 subjects fled on National Highway 10 towards Thai Binh, through Tu Ky District.

Hai Duong Provincial Police Force 151 immediately informed relevant units about the incident and requested Tu Ky District Police to coordinate in arresting the subject.

Immediately after receiving the report, Tu Ky District Police quickly coordinated to deploy forces and vehicles to pursue and arrest, and set up checkpoints and roadblocks on the road the suspects were expected to pass. At around 6:50 a.m. the same day, the task force discovered two criminals moving in Nguyen Giap Commune, and they organized a siege. Although the suspects fiercely resisted, the units successfully arrested the two suspects, confiscated two motorbikes and criminal tools.

At the police station, the two perpetrators were identified as Mac Van Trinh (born in 1988, residing in Hong Thai Tay, Dong Trieu town) and Cao Van Tu (born in 1984, residing in Nam Khe, Uong Bi town, both in Quang Ninh province). Through investigation, the suspects confessed that the motorbike 23K1-080.38 was also stolen property in Quang Ninh.

According to the investigation agency, both subjects used drugs. Trinh has 3 previous convictions, all for theft.
