Literature and art need to reflect truthfully, deeply and comprehensively about Hai Duong.

On the morning of February 29, the Hai Duong Provincial Literature and Arts Association held its 10th Congress for the 2024-2028 term.

Comrades: Do Hong Quan, Chairman of the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations; Trieu The Hung, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee attended the congress.

Also attending were a number of members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, leaders of a number of departments, branches, districts, towns and cities in the province; former leaders of the Provincial Literature and Arts Association through the periods, representatives of a number of organizations and enterprises in Hai Duong province; leaders of the Literature and Arts Associations of 13 neighboring provinces and cities and 165 members of the Hai Duong Provincial Literature and Arts Association.

Speaking at the congress, Chairman of the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations Do Hong Quan and Chairman of the Hai Duong Provincial People's Committee Trieu The Hung acknowledged and commended the achievements, efforts and endeavors of the staff and members of the Hai Duong Provincial Literature and Arts Association during the 2019-2024 term. The Provincial Literature and Arts Association has constantly innovated its content and methods of operation, and has developed strongly. The team of artists and writers has grown in both quantity and quality. Many members have won high awards in competitions and campaigns for literary and artistic creation from the central to local levels.

The comrades suggested that in the coming term, the association should further consolidate and enhance the spirit of solidarity and build a strong association. Focus on building forces, discovering new, young talents with many potentials in fields such as prose, poetry, photography, painting, sculpture, etc. In particular, Hai Duong is famous as "the Eastern Cheo troupe", so the association needs to discover, nurture and build members with talent in this art form.

The Association also needs to pay attention to training and fostering members; maximizing the creativity of generations of artists in each genre, creating many works of high ideological and artistic value; reflecting truthfully, deeply and comprehensively about Hai Duong, especially the process of acceleration and breakthrough with the desire for development in the new period.

The association needs to do a better job of propaganda and political and ideological education for its members. Thoroughly grasp the Party's viewpoints on literature and art in the new situation, especially the direction on culture, literature and art in the Resolutions of Party Congresses at all levels and the conclusion of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong at the National Cultural Conference on November 24, 2021.

Promote innovation in literary and artistic creation activities, improve quality, diversify forms; contribute to education, aesthetic orientation and develop healthy literary and artistic tastes. Actively apply digital transformation in composing, performing, introducing and disseminating works. Encourage and effectively implement support policies for literary and artistic works, works that have won national awards and the Con Son Literature and Arts Award.

The Association needs to actively innovate the content of its activities, increase socialization in the creation, performance and promotion of literature and art. Promote the organization of creative camps, field trips, “return to the source” activities, organize thematic creations, promote works, etc. so that artists can always nurture and develop the flame of creativity.

Artists, especially young artists, must determine for themselves the purpose of creation with love for their homeland and country; create more to build the cultural and spiritual life of the people, contributing to building the Eastern people to meet the requirements of sustainable development and international integration.

The Executive Committee of the Hai Duong Provincial Literature and Arts Association, term X, 2024-2028, consisting of 15 comrades, was introduced to the congress.

On this occasion, the Government awarded the Emulation Flag to the Provincial Literature and Arts Association for its excellent and comprehensive completion of its tasks; the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations awarded the Emulation Flag to the Provincial Literature and Arts Association for its achievements in literary and artistic creation; the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee awarded certificates of merit to 3 collectives and 5 individuals of the Provincial Literature and Arts Association for their outstanding achievements in the movements and activities of the association...

The congress passed a resolution with many specific tasks and solutions.
