100 photos at the exhibition "Peaceful Truong Sa"

Attending the exhibition were: Deputy Minister of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs Le Van Thanh; Vice Chairman of Hai Duong Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Minh Hung; representatives of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists and leaders of a number of departments, branches and localities.

General Do Ba Ty, former Vice Chairman of the National Assembly and former Deputy Minister of National Defense, sent a congratulatory flower basket.

The opening ceremony of the exhibition was also attended by many artists from provinces, cities and photography lovers.

100 photos selected from thousands of works by photographer Hoang Hiep at the exhibition made a strong impression on the audience in terms of both artistry and authenticity, showing that the artist has devoted a lot of effort to this exhibition.

This is the first time the public in Hai Duong has had access to a series of photos of Vietnam's beloved Truong Sa Islands through an exhibition.

The photos truly reflect daily life, clearly depicting the silent sacrifices in combat, protecting national sovereignty of officers and soldiers on Truong Sa archipelago... such as works: Patrolling at sea, Fatherland in the hearts of soldiers, Visiting the rig, This sky and sea are ours...

Artist Hoang Hiep said that he created the photo collection in May 2023, during a trip with the Navy Command delegation to visit the islands of Da Nam, Da Thi, Da Tay, Sinh Ton, An Bang, Truong Sa Lon and DK1/19 Platform. After that trip, he was awarded a Commemorative Medal by the Navy Command for his contributions to protecting the sovereignty of the sea and islands.

During the exhibition, some typical photos measuring 1m x 1m35 were auctioned. The photo with the same name as the exhibition, "Peaceful Truong Sa", achieved the highest price of 25 million VND. Along with the proceeds from the auction of other photos, artist Hoang Hiep will donate all of it to charity. The author will also donate the photo book "Peaceful Truong Sa" to the Provincial Museum, the Hai Duong Provincial Library and the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists.

This is the second solo exhibition of artist Hoang Hiep after the exhibition "Hoang Hiep and Moments" in 2012.

Hoang Hiep won 1 silver medal, 1 bronze medal in the Red River Delta Art Photography Contest, and 2 first prizes in the Hai Duong Province Art News Photography Contest.

The exhibition is open until December 10.
