The "key" to promoting the development of literature and art

According to poet Pham Anh Sao, Head of the Poetry Committee of the Literature and Arts Association of Hai Duong province, socialization has helped spread literary and artistic works. “For example, the 2024 Vietnam Poetry Day in Hai Duong with the theme “Hai Duong - Harmonizing with the country” was successfully organized and attracted many poetry lovers to participate thanks to the effective coordination between the Provincial Literature and Arts Association, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and the Provincial Museum. In addition, there was also the participation of Sao Bien Kindergarten and 4 poetry clubs from localities in the province. The units arranged the location, supported the decoration, sound, MC, and practiced many poetry performances,” poet Anh Sao gave an example.

The fields of photography and fine arts have also achieved many successes thanks to socialization. With the support of businesses, in recent times, creative camps and fine arts and photography exhibitions have made many impressions. In June 2023, Babeeni Vietnam Co., Ltd. sponsored a creative art camp in Sa Pa (Lao Cai) for 12 artists from Hai Duong and Lao Cai provinces. 77 works were created after this creative camp. In January 2024, this enterprise also sponsored photography artists to attend the photography and art photography exhibition "Spring love - Hai Duong - Lao Cai photography exchange"...

Some clubs and artists who are members of the Hai Duong Province Literature and Arts Association have called on organizations and individuals to contribute to organizing solo and group exhibitions. Many authors have mobilized support for book publishing, bringing their works to readers.

Socialized resources and the support of literature and art from the central government and the province have created conditions for more than 500 members to participate in creative camps organized by the association every year. Many works of members of the Provincial Literature and Art Association have received domestic and international awards.

The Provincial Literature and Arts Association also coordinated with the Department of Communications (Ministry of Public Security) and the People's Public Security Publishing House to launch competitions for novels, memoirs, and short stories about the image of "People's Public Security Soldiers for a Peaceful Life". Coordinated with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to organize writing and photography contests on tourism "Land and People of Hai Duong"; "Sketches on preventing domestic violence"; organized exhibitions of propaganda paintings, art news photos to celebrate major holidays of the province... Notably, for 4 consecutive years, the Provincial Literature and Arts Association coordinated with the Provincial Public Security to organize a Literature and Arts Composition Contest on the theme "For a Peaceful Life" in the Hai Duong Literature and Arts magazine.

Resolution No. 04-NQ/HNTW on “Some cultural and artistic tasks in the coming years” passed by the 4th Conference of the 7th Party Central Committee on January 14, 1993 clearly stated that culture and art are the cause of the whole society. This Resolution is also the beginning of the policy of socializing cultural and artistic activities nationwide.

According to Mr. Dinh Ngoc Hung, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Literature and Arts Association, socialization has helped awaken the potential of many artists and writers, widely spreading quality and worthy literary and artistic works. In order for literature and art in general and a literary market in particular to develop in accordance with the Party and State's policy of socialization, it is necessary to improve the qualifications and capacity of the staff working in literature and arts, especially the capacity to adapt to the development conditions of a socialist-oriented market economy.
