According to Hai Duong Newspaper reporters, as of 5:30 p.m. on September 10, 77 kindergartens in Hai Duong province continued to have to let children stay home on September 11 due to power and water outages.
Specifically, Chi Linh city has 25 kindergartens, Kinh Mon town has 24 schools, Tu Ky district has 23 schools, Nam Sach district has 3 schools, Thanh Mien and Cam Giang districts each have 1 school.
Due to the nature of kindergartens that provide boarding care for children, power and water outages will make it difficult to ensure educational activities. On the other hand, these schools also need more time to complete the removal of broken and fallen trees and repair damaged roofs, classroom doors, electrical systems, etc.
In addition, a few primary and secondary schools let students take a day off on September 11 to continue to overcome the consequences of storm No. 3, mainly clearing up broken and fallen trees. Specifically, Chi Linh City and Cam Giang District each have 1 primary school; Thanh Mien District has 1 secondary school; Thanh Ha District has only 1 primary school.
Of the 60 high schools, only Ke Sat High School (Binh Giang) will continue to let students stay home on September 11 to overcome the consequences of storm No. 3.
Thus, compared to September 10, all localities in the province have students returning to school; many more primary and secondary schools welcomed students back to school from the morning of September 11.
