Chi Linh and Kinh Mon continue to let students stay home from school to overcome the consequences of storm No. 3.

On the afternoon of September 9, representatives of the Department of Education and Training of Chi Linh City and Kinh Mon Town informed that students will continue to be off school on September 10 so that schools can overcome the consequences of storm No. 3.

According to Hai Duong Newspaper reporters, tomorrow, September 10, Tu Ky district will continue to allow students at 25 kindergartens to stay home from school, while students at primary and secondary schools will return to school as usual. Ninh Giang district has 24 kindergartens; Thanh Ha district has 14 schools; Nam Sach district has 9 schools; Thanh Mien district has 6 schools; Cam Giang district has 3 schools allowing students to continue to stay home from school.

The remaining localities, including Hai Duong city, Binh Giang, Kim Thanh and Gia Loc districts, can welcome students back to school tomorrow, September 10.

By 6 p.m. the same day, of the 60 high schools, only Tran Phu High School (Chi Linh) asked for a day off tomorrow to continue overcoming the consequences of the storm.

Schools that continued to have to let students stay home suffered heavy damage due to the storm. Many old trees fell and broke, corrugated iron roofs were scattered across the schoolyard, and power lines were damaged. On the afternoon of September 9, schools continued to mobilize staff, teachers, employees, parents, and the support of local police and military forces to overcome the situation. In addition, electricity and water have not met the needs to ensure educational activities, especially at the preschool level.

Thus, compared to September 9, many more localities and schools welcomed students back to school on September 10. It is expected that localities in the province will welcome all students back to school on September 11.
