The Ministry of Education and Training maintains the high school graduation exam schedule at the end of June, despite many provinces and cities proposing to move it up 3 weeks.
The Ministry of Education and Training said on March 20 that after considering many factors, the ministry decided not to change the graduation exam schedule, which is June 26-27.
"Keeping the exam schedule intact will help stabilize the psychology of students and parents and will not affect activities in the education sector," the ministry said. The agency asked departments to closely coordinate with relevant parties to organize the exam on schedule, safely and seriously.
Previously, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Ninh Binh, Nghe An and Quang Tri proposed that the Ministry of Education and Training move the graduation exam from late June to early June. The reason is that the whole country is implementing the arrangement, merger of provinces and cities and completing district-level tasks according to the conclusion of the Politburo. This could affect the exam organization process.
2025 is the year the first batch of students under the new general education program will take the graduation exam. Candidates will take 4 subjects, including compulsory math and literature, and 2 elective subjects (chemistry, physics, biology, geography, history, economic and legal education, information technology, and foreign languages).
