Hai Duong suffers damage from storms and floods, Da Nang cannot stand aside

On the afternoon of September 10, a working delegation from Da Nang City led by Mr. Ngo Xuan Thang, Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee and Chairman of the City People's Council, visited, shared, encouraged and supported Hai Duong province with 1 billion VND to overcome the damage caused by storm No. 3 (storm Yagi).

On behalf of the Party Committee, government and people of Da Nang City, Chairman of the City People's Council Ngo Xuan Thang shared his condolences for the human and property losses that Hai Duong province has suffered and is suffering due to storm No. 3.

Chairman of the People's Council of Da Nang City Ngo Xuan Thang said that supporting Hai Duong to overcome the consequences caused by natural disasters is both a sentiment and a responsibility of the Party Committee, government and people of Da Nang City.

In recent days, the Party Committee, government and people of Da Nang City have been closely following the developments of storm No. 3 and are worried about the damage caused by the storm to the northern provinces and cities, including Hai Duong. Promoting the spirit of solidarity and the tradition of mutual support, Da Nang City has decided to allocate its reserve budget to support the northern provinces and cities affected by storm No. 3, including 1 billion VND in support for Hai Duong province.

The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Da Nang City is also implementing a campaign to mobilize cadres, civil servants, public employees, workers, armed forces, and people to join hands to support people in provinces and cities affected by storm No. 3.

"When the Covid-19 pandemic broke out in Da Nang or every time our city suffered damage from storms and floods, we received the attention and enthusiastic support of Hai Duong province. Therefore, when Hai Duong unfortunately suffered damage from storms and floods, Da Nang could not stand aside. This is both a sentiment and a responsibility of Da Nang," Mr. Ngo Xuan Thang emphasized.

At the same time, she expressed her deep gratitude for the affection and concern of the Party Committee, government and people of Da Nang City towards Hai Duong province. The resources that Da Nang City supports will help the province quickly overcome the damage caused by storms and floods. She hopes that the two provinces and cities will continue to build solidarity and closeness.

Da Nang City is the first locality in the country to establish a delegation to visit, share, encourage and support Hai Duong province, which suffered damage due to storm No. 3.

Along with Hai Duong, from September 10-11, Da Nang City also established delegations to visit, share, encourage and support many provinces and cities in the North that suffered damage due to storm No. 3 such as Quang Ninh, Hai Phong, Hung Yen, Phu Tho, Hoa Binh, Yen Bai.
