Specifically, through the investigation, My Hao Town Police discovered that the website “chanlemomo.vet” took advantage of the transaction code of the Momo e-wallet account to organize online gambling in the form of Odd-Even. This website always has a list of many phone numbers that are Momo e-wallet accounts for players to choose to transfer money to bet. Receiving gambling money and paying winnings on the website “chanlemomo.vet” is completely automatic.

To get the money transfer code, the gambler will choose one of the betting forms available on the website, using his own Momo wallet to transfer a certain amount of betting money to a Momo wallet available on the website. This is a new form of gambling, spread across many areas and many subjects. Some people in My Hao town have been discovered to be participating in gambling in this form.

My Hao town police have established a special project to focus on clarifying the violations of the related subjects.

After a period of collecting documents, with sufficient evidence to prove the criminal acts of the subjects in the ring, the Investigation Police Agency of My Hao Town Police arrested Tan A Thang (born in 2005, residing in Dai Bai Commune, Gia Binh District, Bac Ninh Province) for gambling; Cao Hoang Duy Khanh (born in 2003); Nguyen Thi Lan Anh (born in 2004, both residing in Quan Trang Village (Lien Son Commune, Luong Son District, Hoa Binh Province) and Dinh Tan Bao (born in 1997, residing in Xuan Khanh Village, Hoai My Commune, Hoai Nhon Town, Binh Dinh Province) for organizing gambling.

At the police station, Cao Hoang Duy Khanh confessed to buying the domain name "Chanlemomo.vet" with the purpose of creating an online gambling site. Khanh bought momo wallets (virtual phone numbers) to post on the website for gamblers to bet.

The money transfer from the gambling site to Khanh’s account was also through momo’s money collection wallets. Nguyen Thi Lan Anh assisted Khanh in running the website, and Dinh Tien Bao was hired by Khanh to run ads for the website “chanlemomo.vet” for 14.7 million VND.

Through verification, the amount of money related to gambling in the wallets attached to the gambling site and the pool accounts has so far reached 100 billion VND.

Currently, the Investigation Police Agency of My Hao Town Police is expanding the case and investigating to clarify.
