Lucas Palace Club has attracted thousands of people to register for membership cards to play Poker tours to win prizes and gamble in the form of Poker.
On the afternoon of December 10, a leader of Department 4 - Criminal Police Department - Ministry of Public Security said that they had initiated a case and prosecuted 27 defendants for the acts of "Organizing gambling" and "Gambling" in the form of Poker.
The defendants prosecuted for the act of "Organizing gambling" residing in Hanoi include: Tran Xuan Minh (born in 1990), Ngo Thi Quynh (born in 2003), both in Thanh Xuan district; Dao Anh Dung (born in 1992, in Dong Da district); Ho Chi Phuong (born in 1981, in Ba Dinh district); Do Tien Dung (born in 1995), Pham Thi Hoang Anh (born in 1992) and Mai Hoang Phuong Trang, all in Cau Giay district; Le Minh Hoang (born in 1992, in Hoang Mai district). In addition, Nguyen Van Hai (born in 1990) and Dang Van Hung (born in 1998), both in Thai Binh province, Nguyen Dang Manh (born in 1995, in Vinh Phuc province).
Notably, among the 16 defendants prosecuted for "Gambling", some are foreigners, from Japan, Taiwan (China), Korea, etc.
The police determined that since October 2019, TPT Hanoi Service Company Limited was established, after which the company carried out procedures to apply for the establishment of Lucas Palace Club (according to Decision No. 02/2029/QD-HDTV of TPT Hanoi Service Company Limited).
In March 2022, the company appointed Mr. Tran Van Dong as Director and legal representative. Tran Van Dong signed a contract to rent 2 houses at 51 Mac Thai To, Yen Hoa Ward, Cau Giay District (Hanoi) for 140 million VND/month to serve as the venue for the Lucas Palace Club.
The defendants Dao Anh Dung and Tran Xuan Minh directly managed all activities of the club. After that, the two defendants discussed and agreed that Dao Anh Dung would be responsible for directly managing the activities for customers to gamble in the form of Poker on the 3rd floor, while Tran Xuan Minh would manage the activities for customers to play Poker on a tour to win prizes on the 2nd floor.
The case is being further investigated by the police...
