The subjects prosecuted and temporarily detained include: Cao Vu Trong (born in 1990, residing in residential group 15, Nam Ly ward, Dong Hoi city) for organizing gambling and Nguyen Duc Long (born in 1997, residing in residential group 13, Nam Ly ward, Dong Hoi city), Thai Minh Khoa (born in 1999, residing in Dong Le town, Tuyen Hoa district, Quang Binh) for gambling.
According to the initial investigation results of the police agency, in August 2023, Cao Vu Trong created an account to organize gambling activities in the form of football betting. To attract players and deceive the authorities, Trong, Nguyen Duc Long and Thai Minh Khoa opened a total of 16 linked accounts to conduct gambling in the form of online football betting. The total transaction amount was more than 13 billion VND.
During the investigation and search, the police discovered and seized 3 mobile phones used by the subjects for online gambling, more than 3.6 million VND and other related evidence.
The case is being further investigated and processed by Dong Hoi City Police according to regulations.
