Destroying a gambling ring worth over 200 billion led by 2 "female monsters"

Two "female monsters" in Hanoi led a gambling ring using lottery numbers worth more than 200 billion VND. On December 9 alone, the total amount of money transacted was nearly 1.5 billion VND.

On December 17, Nghe An Provincial Police said that the Criminal Police Department had just coordinated with local police units to successfully dismantle a large-scale inter-provincial lottery gambling ring, arresting 14 related subjects.

Recently, through the work of grasping the situation, the Criminal Police Department (Nghe An Police) discovered a gambling ring in the form of recording lottery numbers in Nghe An province, Ninh Binh, Hanoi city and other provinces and cities.

The subjects operate very sophisticatedly, they often use unofficial phone numbers, phones connected to the internet to log in to Zalo, Telegram applications... to receive and send lottery messages.

The subjects operate in a closed manner. During the time they receive lottery tickets, they often move to many different places, or close the door in their house, install surveillance cameras to avoid detection by authorities to commit crimes.

Under the direction of the Nghe An Provincial Police, the Criminal Police Department has established a special project to combat and eradicate.

The investigation team identified the two ringleaders of the gambling ring as Dinh Thi Thao (born in 1974) and Nguyen Thi Thao (born in 1973), both residing in Hoang Mai district, Hanoi.

There are 3 other people helping the above 2 subjects: Vu Cong Dong (born in 1977), Le Thi Hien (born in 1986), both residing in Ninh Binh city, Ninh Binh province and Le Thu Huong (born in 1995, residing in Hoang Mai district, Hanoi).

The above line also has many lower-level agents in many provinces and cities across the country. In Nghe An, the head of the line is Nguyen Thi Thu (born in 1962, residing in Nghi Loc district).

The police also identified 7 other suspects in the ring, all residing in Nghe An province, including: Uong Thi Nga (born in 1963), Nguyen Song Dong (born in 1964), all residing in Vinh city; Bui Thi Hoa (born in 1957), Nguyen Van Hoa (born in 1967), Dang Thi Binh (born in 1979), Le Hai Ha (born in 1978), all residing in Nghi Loc district and Tran Van Mai (born in 1971, residing in Hung Nguyen district).

After collecting sufficient documents and evidence, from December 12-15, the Criminal Police Department, Nghe An Provincial Police presided over and coordinated with professional units of the Ministry of Public Security, local police in Nghe An, Hanoi City Police, and Ninh Binh to simultaneously deploy 14 working groups to arrest and search the residences of 14 subjects residing in these localities.

Confiscated evidence included 22 mobile phones of various types, 1 iPad, 1 notebook and many other related evidences.

Initially, the police determined that from the time of the investigation until the arrest, the amount of money the subjects had transacted gambling using lottery numbers was more than 200 billion VND.

On December 9 alone, the total amount of money transacted by the subjects was nearly 1.5 billion VND.

The case is being investigated and expanded by Nghe An Provincial Police.
