On the afternoon of June 1, nearly 21,000 candidates in Hai Duong took the English exam, the first subject to enter grade 10 of public high schools in the 2023-2024 school year.
A group of candidates confidently entered the exam room at Kinh Mon High School.
The test time is 60 minutes, and the test time starts at 3:30 p.m. Before that, from 1:30 p.m., candidates have completed the exam registration procedures, listened to the announcement of the exam regulations and schedule.
According to the Hai Duong Newspaper reporters, the weather is hot, the outdoor temperature is around 39-40 degrees Celsius. However, many parents and candidates arrive at the exam locations very early to avoid unexpected situations.
Police, militia, security guards, and local youth volunteers arrived early to direct traffic, ensure security and order, assist candidates in entering the exam room safely, give them water, cheer and encourage them. Many candidates entered the exam room nervously but quite confidently, while parents anxiously waited for their children under the scorching sun...
Due to the hot weather, a candidate at Nguyen Van Cu High School fainted a few minutes after entering the exam room. Volunteer youth rushed the candidate to the medical room for first aid. The candidate is now awake, resting and still able to take the exam. Medical staff are on duty to take care of him.
