The Hai Duong Department of Education and Training has just decided to assign 26,103 enrollment quotas for grade 10 in the 2024-2025 school year, an increase of 1,250 quotas compared to the previous school year due to the increase in the number of grade 9 students this year.

The increased quota was assigned to private high schools and continuing education sectors while the public sector reduced its quota by 10 compared to the previous school year.
Accordingly, private high schools were assigned 6,795 quotas, an increase of 1,125 quotas compared to the previous school year. High schools assigned increased quotas are: Marie Curie Secondary & High School (Hai Duong City), Tran Quang Khai, Quang Thanh (Kinh Mon), Phu Thai (Kim Thanh), Tu Ky II, Ninh Giang II, Vu Ngoc Phan (Binh Giang), Phan Boi Chau (Nam Sach) and Le Quy Don Primary, Secondary & High School (Thanh Mien).
The Department of Education and Training assigned 4,140 enrollment quotas for grade 10 to 12 district-level Vocational Education - Continuing Education Centers and 1 Continuing Education Center - Foreign Languages, Information Technology of Hai Duong province, Hai Duong College of Culture, Arts and Tourism, an increase of 135 quotas compared to the previous school year.
For public high school grade 10, the Department of Education and Training assigned 15,168 enrollment quotas for grade 10, a decrease of 10 quotas compared to the previous school year due to the absence of non-specialized classes in Nguyen Trai High School for the Gifted, replaced by a specialized math class (assigned 32 quotas).
In the 2024-2025 school year, the province will have about 30,400 9th graders. With a total of 26,103 enrollment targets for the 10th grade in the 2024-2025 school year, more than 4,000 9th graders can choose to study at vocational schools in the province under the 9+ system, with a diploma equivalent to a high school diploma or other orientations. Vocational schools in the province can accommodate about 7,500 students in the 9+ system. In this system, students will study both general education and vocational training. After 3 years, they will have a high school diploma and a vocational college diploma.
The 10th grade entrance exam for public high schools for the 2024-2025 school year will take place on June 1 and 2. This year, candidates will continue to register for the exam on the Department of Education and Training's enrollment system software.
