FPT proposes to build an educational complex of 5-10 hectares in Hai Duong

On the afternoon of June 10, the People's Committee of Hai Duong province worked with FPT Corporation (FPT Group) to listen to the group's proposal on investing in the construction of FPT Education Complex in the province and reporting on the results of digital transformation cooperation between Hai Duong province and FPT Group.

Attending the meeting were comrades: Trieu The Hung, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Nguyen Minh Hung, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and representatives of leaders of a number of departments and branches.

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa, General Director of FPT Group expressed the group's desire to invest in building an FPT education complex in Hai Duong with a scale of 5-10 hectares. It is expected to include a high-quality inter-level general education complex from primary, secondary and high school. In addition, in the long term, the group aims at vocational education at colleges and universities. Emphasizing FPT's advantage of vocational training based on the development orientation of each locality and based on specific orders from businesses in the area, the group committed that this will be a model with international quality but domestic tuition fees. The group also asked the province to introduce non-public facilities that are having difficulties in operation so that FPT can transfer the project in the form of M&A (merger and acquisition). The province prioritizes completing technical infrastructure connecting the project; supporting site clearance work.

In the field of digital transformation, FPT affirmed its commitment to focus on investing in Hai Duong for outstanding development. At this conference, FPT Corporation is interested in 5 groups of fields, including: digital government; Project 06 and Hai Duong's digital transformation; digital healthcare; digital education and information technology infrastructure. FPT Corporation's leaders also stated that as a partner of many leading technology corporations in the world, FPT is ready to accompany Hai Duong on future development ideas.

At the meeting, FPT Group also reported on some results of cooperation with Hai Duong province in recent times.

Accordingly, implementing the digital transformation cooperation agreement for the 2021-2025 period signed by the People's Committee of Hai Duong province and FPT on August 24, 2021, FPT has supported and consulted with Hai Duong province to develop and implement mechanisms, policies, programs, and plans on digital transformation; supported and coordinated to propose solutions to improve provincial competitiveness indexes (PCI), provincial digital transformation index (DTI); administrative reform index (PAR index)... Support Hai Duong province to promote the development of digital economy, digital society, digital transformation for businesses and households; coordinate to implement training programs. Review and build a pilot smart urban deployment for an urban area in the province...

As a result, in terms of consulting activities, the group has supported the province in building a digital transformation plan, a comprehensive digital transformation model, and digital transformation of enterprises. In terms of propaganda and training activities, it has coordinated to organize 3 conferences and seminars; participated in 4 digital transformation events. Deployed digital transformation for nearly 20 enterprises; installed more than 300 cameras for 15 communes...

The results of digital transformation application serving citizens and businesses reached 60%; services and utilities by industry and field reached 15%; systems/software serving officials reached 45%; digital platforms reached 60%; digital institutions and digital awareness reached 75%; digital infrastructure serving digital transformation and smart cities reached 80%.

In the period of 2024-2025, FPT will support the province in developing a digital transformation plan for 2025, solutions on information safety and security; deploying models of project 06: FPT.Smart Kiosk, Online testing and FPT.IDCheck chip-based citizen identification authentication platform. Deploying digital solutions and shared electronic storage platforms, building and forming a digital data warehouse for the province...

In the period 2026-2030, FPT will support the construction of a shared digital platform serving digital transformation and smart cities: data analysis (BI), artificial intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), virtual reality/augmented reality (VR/AR). Deploying smart services and utilities for the transportation, tourism, construction, resources and environment sectors.

Concluding the conference, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Trieu The Hung acknowledged and highly appreciated the ideas proposed by FPT Group. He emphasized that Hai Duong considers digital transformation one of the top priorities. Early on, after the 17th Provincial Party Congress, Hai Duong issued a Resolution on digital transformation. The Provincial Party Committee identified this term as a "green and digital term". He suggested that in the coming time, Hai Duong province and the group will have more comprehensive cooperation to bring about the best results according to the cooperation minutes signed by both sides in 2021.

The province highly appreciates FPT Group in investing in educational facilities nationwide, suitable for the current human resource requirements. Informing about the province's orientation in the coming time to build Hai Duong into an industrial province, especially the orientation of developing high-tech industry, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee supported the group's proposal to build an education and science complex in the area. He requested the provincial departments and branches to review and promptly select suitable locations to be able to soon deploy a large-scale education complex in accordance with the motto of accompanying businesses. Emphasizing the view that Hai Duong is ready to cooperate with FPT Group, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Trieu The Hung assigned the functional branches to coordinate with the Group to draft specific and detailed cooperation content and implementation plan.
