Hai Duong merges some primary and secondary schools in localities before September 1

According to the plan to continue innovating the organization and management system, improving the quality and efficiency of public service units, the People's Committee of Hai Duong province requires the completion of the merger of schools at the same level (primary and secondary) before September.

Hai Duong Provincial People's Committee requested to only implement the merger within the scope of communes, wards and towns arranged and merged in the 2019 - 2021 and 2023 - 2025 periods and ensure the criteria prescribed by the Ministry of Education and Training.

As planned, the whole province will merge schools in commune-level administrative units, reducing dozens of schools in Kinh Mon town and 7 districts: Tu Ky, Thanh Ha, Nam Sach, Cam Giang, Gia Loc, Kim Thanh, Ninh Giang.

In Hai Duong city and Binh Giang district, there are wards and communes that have merged but not arranged schools because if merged, the scale of the schools will be very large.

Currently, the Department of Education and Training is coordinating to review cases that need to be merged, develop a plan for arrangement and report to the province.

Some primary and secondary schools do not merge due to inadequate conditions in terms of geographical location, scale, facilities, etc.

For kindergartens that have not yet merged to ensure convenience for students and parents.

The leaders of the Department of Education and Training said that the development, appraisal of the plan, and issuance of the arrangement decision will be carried out before May to carry out the consolidation during the summer break of the 2024-2025 school year, and completed before the new school year to facilitate the teaching and learning of students and schools.
