On the morning of December 15, the Department of Education and Training of Hai Duong opened the Provincial Science and Technology Research Competition for junior high and high school students for the 2024-2025 school year at Sao Do University (Chi Linh).
This year's competition has 89 projects from 12 district-level Departments of Education and Training and 35 high schools in the province participating, an increase of 8 projects compared to the 2023-2024 school year. It is expected that the Department of Education and Training will select two outstanding projects to participate in the national competition in the 2024-2025 school year.
This is the 13th year that the Hai Duong Department of Education and Training has organized the contest to encourage students to conduct scientific research, create technical and technological innovations, and apply learned knowledge to solve practical problems, contributing to the development of students' qualities and abilities.
At the Provincial High School Science and Technology Competition for the 2023-2024 school year, the Department of Education and Training awarded 77 prizes, including 6 first prizes, 14 second prizes, 20 third prizes and 37 fourth prizes. The Department of Education and Training selected the 2 best projects to participate in the national competition. As a result, Hai Duong had 1 project winning the fourth prize, which was the Project "Research on synthesis of CO2 gas adsorption materials" in the field of environmental engineering by Nguyen Trung Hieu (Nguyen Van Cu High School, Hai Duong City) and Pham My Hanh (Tu Ky High School), with the instructor being Mr. Nguyen Van Duc, Principal of Nguyen Van Cu High School.
This year's competition closed and awarded prizes on the afternoon of December 16.
