Ready to pay new pensions next week

In Hanoi wards, since the beginning of August, pensioners have been notified of the time to receive monthly pensions and receive the additional amount for July 2023.

Mr. Ha Van Lung, head of group 10, Doi Can ward (Ba Dinh, Hanoi) said: “Post office staff and ward officials have announced the August pension payment schedule to the group leaders. After that, we also announced it through the group groups so that the beneficiaries know. Accordingly, pension payments are divided into groups at different times to avoid crowds. Group 10 will receive them on August 15.”

“We have been waiting for this pension day since the beginning of the month. For many poor families, who receive only about 4 to 5 million VND/month and the high cost of living in the city, this money is very necessary. For nearly 2 weeks now, poor households have had to save money to wait for the pension day,” Mr. Ha Van Lung added.

Ms. Vu Thi Cu (Group 8, Nghia Do Ward, Cau Giay, Hanoi) said that the salary distribution point at Nghia Do Ward Cultural House announced the pension distribution schedule last week, and on August 17, new pensioners at Group 8 had their turn. In August, the distribution schedule was delayed by more than half a month, so pension distribution needs to be earlier, especially for poor households. The distribution unit can arrange more staff so that this can be implemented early, around August 14-15.

Vietnam Post will coordinate with the Social Insurance Agency to make payments to beneficiaries immediately upon the effective date of Decree No. 42 on August 14, 2023. This payment will be applied to both forms of receiving money via ATM card and receiving cash at the Post Office.

To meet the needs of people during this payment period, Vietnam Post will arrange maximum human resources to make timely payments to beneficiaries on August 14-15, 2023. For pensioners, social insurance beneficiaries and recipients authorized by beneficiaries to receive on their behalf, they need to bring documents according to previous regulations such as: payment card, valid authorization letter.

Mr. Bui Van Hoang, Deputy Director of Hanoi Post Office said: Hanoi City People's Committee has issued Official Dispatch 2410/UBND-KGVX requesting to organize salary payment in accordance with regulations.

Hanoi Post Office has also widely announced the adjustment of the pension and social insurance allowance payment schedule for the August 2023 payment period. Accordingly, in order to promptly pay pensions and social insurance allowances to beneficiaries according to the new benefit levels prescribed in Decree No. 42/2023/ND-CP, at the request of Vietnam Social Security, in the August 2023 payment period, Hanoi Post Office, District Post Offices, and Centers will organize the payment of pensions and social insurance allowances according to the new benefit levels from August 14, 2023 - the effective date of Decree No. 42/2023/ND-CP (replaced appropriately for each locality).

According to Tin Tuc Newspaper
