Honorary members are those who have a voice, influence, and many contributions to society, accompanying all levels of the association and women's association members in activities and movements.
According to the Hai Duong Provincial Women's Union, the province currently has more than 2,200 men who are honorary members of the Vietnam Women's Union, an increase of more than 600 members compared to the same period last year.
The men recognized as honorary members are all cadres, civil servants, party cell secretaries, village and residential area chiefs... in the province. They are people with voice, influence, and many contributions to society, accompanying all levels of the association and women's association members in activities and movements. In particular, these members have actively contributed to gender equality for the advancement of local women, building an increasingly strong and developed association.
To be admitted as an honorary member of the Vietnam Women's Union, individuals must be 18 years of age or older, regardless of gender or nationality, residing and working in Vietnam, agreeing with the Association's Charter, voluntarily joining the organization, meeting all the following criteria: having prestige, influence on the community, having the ability to gather, assemble, and positively impact women's awareness and behavior. Participate in supporting the association's activities as an expert, consultant... or provide material support for the association's activities, supporting and assisting members and women.
The recognition of honorary membership was included in the charter at the 13th National Women's Congress for the 2022-2027 term.
