Launching the new generation Ford Ranger at Ford Hai Duong Factory

Comrades: Nguyen Thi Ngoc Bich, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Luu Van Ban, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, and representatives of a number of central ministries, departments, and branches, the US Ambassador to Vietnam, Ford Global and Ford Vietnam attended.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Luu Van Ban, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, acknowledged and highly appreciated the contributions of Ford Vietnam Co., Ltd. to the socio-economic development of Hai Duong in recent times. Despite being directly affected by the Covid-19 epidemic, the enterprise has still strived to overcome difficulties to stabilize production and business, maintaining stable jobs for many local workers. The launch of the new generation Ranger will partly meet the demand for automobiles in the country in general and in the province in particular, especially when the market for spare parts and accessories is currently scarce. The Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee hopes that Ford Vietnam will continue to invest and expand its production scale in Hai Duong. The province is committed to accompanying and creating favorable conditions for enterprises in the process of expanding their production scale in accordance with regulations.

New Ranger model on display at launch

The new generation Ford Ranger is the smartest, most powerful, versatile and most innovative pickup truck ever from Ford. The design of this model is drawn from the feedback and wishes of customers who have used the Ranger in more than 180 countries. Thanks to that, the 2022 Ford Ranger uses a new chassis and has a size increase of 50 mm. This change helps increase the space of the cockpit and the rear cargo compartment. At the rear of the vehicle, there is also an additional step to make it easier to get into the truck bed. Also on this new Ranger model, for the first time Ford equipped Matrix LED headlights. This is an advantage compared to models in the segment that only use LED or LED-Projector technology...

Recently, Ford has invested more than 80 million USD to expand and improve the production capacity of the factory in Hai Duong. This new Ranger model is expected to be delivered to customers by the end of September 2022 with a recommended retail price starting from 659 million VND (including value added tax). Since its launch, Ford Ranger has always been Ford's flagship product in the global market. In the Vietnamese market, Ford Ranger accounts for about 50% of sales and over 60% of the market share in the pickup truck segment.
