With a flood of orders, many businesses in Hai Duong are expanding their production scale.

High demand

Right after the Lunar New Year holiday, Best Pacific Vietnam Co., Ltd. (VSIP Industrial Park, Cam Giang) quickly ramped up production to ensure delivery progress. Mr. Shi Hong Wei, the company's leader, said that the company's growth target for 2025 ranges from 15 - 20% compared to 2024. Thanks to focusing on improving product quality and optimizing production processes, the number of orders has increased significantly compared to the same period last year.

Best Pacific Vietnam specializes in providing fabrics and elastic bands for famous fashion brands such as Adidas, Victoria's Secret, Uniqlo, Triumph, GAP, Target, Under Armour, etc. To meet the increasing demands of the global market, the company constantly improves its products, enhances service quality and expands its export markets to the US, EU, Japan, Thailand, China and many other countries. Although the number of partners remains unchanged, the number of orders continues to increase steadily every month and quarter.

Not only textiles, the mechanical engineering and equipment manufacturing industry in Hai Duong also has impressive growth. Ducar Vietnam Technology Co., Ltd. (Phu Thai Industrial Park, Kim Thanh) currently operates 4 factories with key products such as water pumps, pressure washers, generators, gasoline engines and many other industrial equipment. In 2024, the company exported more than 1 million products and is expected to reach nearly 1.2 million products in 2025, an increase of 16% over the previous year. Revenue in 2025 is expected to increase by 21.63% to 2,768 billion yuan. In the first quarter of 2025, the company received orders for 310,000 products, an increase of 30% over the same period last year.

Vietnam’s participation in many free trade agreements (FTAs) has brought great advantages, helping businesses in Hai Duong export goods with preferential tax rates, optimizing products to meet international standards. Thanks to that, businesses do not hesitate to invest heavily in modern machinery systems, apply advanced technology to increase output and product quality, attracting more and more orders.

Mr. Tsuzuranuki Hiroshi, General Director of Iriso Electronics Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Japanese investment, located in Tan Truong Industrial Park, Cam Giang) shared that thanks to a stable source of orders, the company's 2025 production plan has been filled, ensuring jobs for workers with an average salary of 11 million VND/person/month.

Expand production scale

The boom in orders has prompted businesses to expand production to meet market demand. Initially with only two factories, Ducar Vietnam Technology Co., Ltd. has expanded to two more in the past two years. Currently, the company employs nearly 1,000 workers with an average income of VND12 million/person/month.

Iriso Electronics Vietnam Co., Ltd., which specializes in manufacturing connectors for auto parts, has also recorded strong growth. Iriso Corporation (Japan) currently has 5 factories in Vietnam, the Philippines, China, Japan and recently opened another factory in Japan. With automatic assembly lines and continuous improvements, the company ensures stable quality and production volume. Currently, 70% of products are exported to Japan, the US and the EU, the remaining 30% to Thailand, India, etc.

General Director of Iriso Electronics Vietnam Co., Ltd. Tsuzuranuki Hiroshi expects sales in 2025 to increase by more than 10% compared to the previous year, contributing to ensuring jobs and stable income for local workers.

Seizing the opportunity from the abundant orders, Kim Duong Vietnam Consumer Goods Company Limited (Cong Hoa Industrial Park, Chi Linh) decided to invest more than 300 billion VND to expand the production workshop of nearly 35,000 m². Previously, the company specialized in producing environmentally friendly plastic products such as dining tables, spoons, forks, cups, plates. In 2024, the enterprise will produce about 5,000 tons of products, an increase of 30% compared to 2023. In 2025, the enterprise will expand its product portfolio with items made from recycled plastic, bagasse and scented candles. Output is expected to increase by 50% compared to 2024. Of which, 90% of the products are exported to the US, the rest to EU markets.

Challenges and opportunities

Despite many positive signs, businesses in Hai Duong still face many challenges. The need to expand production has led to a shortage of skilled workers. A representative of Best Pacific Vietnam Co., Ltd. said that despite being willing to pay high salaries, finding suitable personnel is still a difficult problem. Businesses are forced to train their own workers, but this process requires time and a lot of money.

In addition, the prices of imported raw materials such as cotton, plastic, and steel are unstable, directly affecting production costs and profits. Vietnam also faces fierce competition from China, India, and Bangladesh in the export industry.

According to Mr. Nguyen Trung Kien, Head of the Hai Duong Industrial Park Management Board, businesses in the province receiving many orders and growing well is a positive sign. However, to develop sustainably, businesses need to be flexible, creative and constantly innovate, optimize the supply chain, control costs and apply green production.
