Abandoned newborn baby found at night in Thanh Mien town

At 9:44 p.m. on August 3, Ms. Nguyen Thi Dung in Phu Noi residential area, Thanh Mien town discovered an abandoned baby girl in front of her house. Upon inspection, the baby was wrapped in a white newborn blanket with the words "103 Military Hospital - Obstetrics Department" written on it and placed in a plastic basket. In addition to clothes, diapers, and blankets, there was also a note that read: "Due to circumstances, I cannot raise my child. I hope that the family who finds her will raise her to be a good person. The baby was born at 1:40 p.m. on July 30. I hope that you will not send her to an orphanage, but will give her both parents and identify her identity and personal history. The baby is female and weighs 3 kg."

Dung's family reported to the local authorities, took the baby to Thanh Mien District Medical Center for a health check and carried out related procedures. Currently, the baby's health is stable. The town People's Committee temporarily handed the baby over to Dung's family to raise.

Thanh Mien Town People's Committee announces that whoever is the biological parent of the child should come to the Town People's Committee to complete the procedures to receive the child, the deadline is August 11, 2024. If anyone knows the information about the biological parent of the child, please notify the Town People's Committee for consideration and resolution. After the above deadline, Thanh Mien Town People's Committee will proceed with the birth registration procedure and other related procedures for the child according to the provisions of law.
