On July 16, a representative of the People's Committee of Yet Kieu Commune (Gia Loc, Hai Duong) said that the baby abandoned on July 6 at the stele house area of Huyen Bua village communal house has been adopted by a family living in Ngoc Hien District (Ca Mau Province).
The adoptive family is Mr. D.VN (from Luong Nham village, Yet Kieu commune) and Ms. NTN (from Kim Lien commune, Nam Dan district, Nghe An province). They are teachers in Ngoc Hien district (Ca Mau). Although they have been married for 18 years, they do not have children.
Since learning that the child was abandoned, the couple has been there regularly to take care of the child. “We feel the affection and love that Mr. N. and Ms. N.’s family have for the child, and they have the conditions to raise the child. Therefore, out of more than 30 requests to raise the child, after the Commune People’s Committee met and evaluated the factors, it was decided to give the child to the couple to take care of,” said a representative of the Yet Kieu Commune People’s Committee.
Previously, at around 4:00 a.m. on July 6, two residents of Huyen Bua and Thuong Bi 1 villages were exercising when they discovered an abandoned baby boy in the stele house area of Huyen Bua village communal house. Immediately after that, the residents reported to the local authorities and took the baby to Yet Kieu Commune Health Station for care.
