Blocking the disabled walkway

In the morning, the sidewalk cafe was bustling. This cafe is a familiar place for retired officials. Mr. Tu and Mr. Hao were talking endlessly about "hot" topics such as streamlining, merging the apparatus, and pension benefits... when Mr. Huan suddenly asked:

- Hey, what's that yellow streak in the middle of the sidewalk near your house for? I didn't see it before, but now the city has rebuilt the sidewalk and it has that streak.

Hearing Mr. Huan's question, Mr. Tu smiled and said:

- This guy is so backward. That yellow line you mentioned is a special path for the disabled.

Listening to Mr. Tu's explanation, Mr. Huan argued:

- What a small path. And how can you walk when motorbikes are blocking the whole path? It's hard for able-bodied people to get in, let alone disabled people.

Mrs. Ha interjected:

- Poor thing, no one thinks about disabled people. That road is sometimes used as a parking lot, sometimes it is used by street vendors. Disabled people who want to go there probably have no choice but to go around the road.

- That's very dangerous. Even healthy, able-bodied people like you and I are afraid to go down the street, let alone disabled people, Mr. Tu said.

Mr. Nam, a motorbike taxi driver, also drank water next to him and smiled awkwardly:

- Actually, sometimes I accidentally park my car there. But thinking back, it's like taking away the only road for disabled people.

The atmosphere in the restaurant suddenly became quiet. Everyone was pensive. The small story opened up big issues about community awareness and social responsibility. Mr. Tu expressed:

- How about this, from now on, if we see people parking their cars blocking the disabled walkway, whoever sees it will take turns reminding them. I think if we do it well, things will gradually get back on track. When we have a party cell meeting, I will propose that the area put up some warning signs at some sections. I hope everyone will be more aware.
