From March 1, Hai Duong Province Drug Rehabilitation Center organized 100% of its staff to be on duty to respond to unexpected situations.

On the morning of March 7, a working delegation of Hai Duong Provincial Police led by Colonel Bui Quang Binh, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Party Secretary, and Director of the Provincial Police, inspected the facilities and working conditions at the Hai Duong Provincial Drug Rehabilitation Center.

Currently, the facility is assigned to the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department, Provincial Police for direct management.

After 1 week of receiving the task of state management of drug addiction treatment and post-treatment from the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, the Provincial Drug Addiction Treatment Center is treating 598 students. The facilities here have degraded, medical conditions are still limited, and the management of records and documents is still done manually. Currently, 55 former officers and employees have registered to continue working with the Provincial Police, the rest have transferred to the departments of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs (now the Department of Home Affairs) or resigned.

Provincial Police Director presents gifts to Provincial Drug Rehabilitation Center

The provincial police have arranged for officers from the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department to perform the duties of the facility, coordinating with the Mobile Police Department to ensure security and order. In order to respond to unexpected situations, from March 1, the provincial Drug Rehabilitation Center has organized 100% of its staff to be on duty, including police officers and soldiers and 55 former officers and employees.

After a comprehensive inspection of the facilities and listening to the wishes of the staff, the Director of the Provincial Police emphasized that transferring the task of drug rehabilitation management to the police force not only ensures connectivity but also improves the effectiveness of the task. The Provincial Police have been strengthening the fight against drug-related crimes, contributing to curbing social order crimes.

Comrade Bui Quang Binh requested the facility to make comprehensive changes, from treatment methods, increasing digital management to creating open spaces and friendly environments. Functional departments need to advise on building new processes for drug addiction management, aiming to transform the facility into a medical treatment center. In the immediate future, it is necessary to overcome and repair degraded areas, and rearrange accommodation and meals for students.

On this occasion, the Provincial Police Director presented gifts to the provincial drug rehabilitation facility and congratulated female officers and employees on International Women's Day, March 8.
