On the morning of July 6, a representative of the People's Committee of Yet Kieu Commune, Gia Loc District (Hai Duong) said that people had just discovered an abandoned baby at the stele house in Huyen Bua village communal house.
At around 4:00 a.m. on July 6, two villagers from Huyen Bua and Thuong Bi 1 (Yet Kieu Commune) were exercising when they discovered an abandoned baby boy in the stele house area of Huyen Bua Village communal house. Immediately after that, the villagers reported to the local authorities, took the baby to the Yet Kieu Commune Health Station for care and medical procedures.
The baby was born about 1.5 hours ago, with the umbilical cord still attached, weighing about 3 kg, without any deformities, and wrapped in a towel.
The People's Committee of Yet Kieu commune assigned Ms. Pham Thi Thuy, Vice President of the Women's Union of Huyen Bua village, to directly take care of the baby; departments and branches supported Ms. Thuy's family as well as the baby with daily necessities.
The People's Committee of Yet Kieu commune has announced to find relatives for the abandoned child. If after the announcement period, no one comes to claim the child, the People's Committee of the commune will carry out the procedures according to regulations.
