Dog thieves scatter iron nails, shoot homemade guns to fight back against police pursuit

This evening (September 5), the Investigation Police Agency of Tan Uyen City Police, Binh Duong Province, announced that they are temporarily detaining Ta Minh Tan (born in 1988, from Soc Trang) and Dang Huu Thuc (born in 1991, from Dong Nai) to investigate the acts of property theft and resisting law enforcement officers.

According to initial investigation, at around 1:00 a.m. the same day, the patrol team of Khanh Binh Ward Police, Tan Uyen City was on duty in the area when they discovered a car carrying 3 subjects using homemade electric guns to shoot and steal dogs.

Immediately afterwards, Khanh Binh Ward Police coordinated with Special Patrol Team 171 of Tan Uyen City Police to arrest the above subjects.

However, when they realized they were being chased, the suspects accelerated and escaped. While fleeing, they used pepper spray to attack the police, scattered homemade iron nails on the road to obstruct them, and then used homemade electric guns to shoot at the patrol team.

After driving about 15km to Thuan An City, Binh Duong Province, the suspects' car lost control and crashed into the wall of a company. The three people in the car opened the door and ran away, but the patrol team controlled and arrested two of the suspects, the remaining person escaped afterwards.

During the search, police discovered chili powder, homemade electric guns, 6 dogs and many other exhibits in the car.

The subjects confessed that because they had no money to spend, they decided to steal people's dogs.

Among them, Ta Minh Tan has a previous conviction for property destruction, Dang Huu Thuc has two previous convictions for property theft and property destruction.
