Many officials in Binh Duong voluntarily resigned during the merger and restructuring of the apparatus.

That is the information given by Ms. Huynh Thi Thanh Phuong, Director of the Department of Home Affairs of Binh Duong province at the year-end press conference of the People's Committee of Binh Duong province held on the afternoon of December 25.

According to Ms. Phuong, the organization and arrangement of the province's political system closely follows the general direction of the Central Government, ensuring streamlining and effective and efficient operation.

It is expected that after the merger and arrangement, the whole province will reduce 5 departments (corresponding to 5 department directors), 9 departments under the department level, 18 departments and offices at the district level. Thus, this arrangement will reduce a total of 32 focal points.

Ms. Phuong also said that the number of personnel will be arranged reasonably according to the Central's direction, suitable for each specific case when there is an official project.

The leader of the Department of Home Affairs of Binh Duong province added that up to now, local leaders and officials have always been proactive in voluntarily asking for early retirement, creating opportunities for the next generation to develop themselves and contribute to the province.

"During the restructuring period, it is expected that many officials will voluntarily resign, creating favorable conditions for the locality in the process of streamlining the apparatus.

Binh Duong commits that when implementing the arrangement and streamlining, there will be no interruption in work, affecting the progress of activities serving people and businesses," Ms. Phuong affirmed.

According to the province's plan, 10 departments will be merged together. Specifically, the Department of Planning and Investment will be merged with the Department of Finance; the Department of Transport will be merged with the Department of Construction; the Department of Natural Resources and Environment will be merged with the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development; the Department of Information and Communications will be merged with the Department of Science and Technology; the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs will be merged with the Department of Home Affairs, and some state management functions will be transferred to the Department of Education and Training and the Department of Health.

In addition, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Education Committee and the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Committee will be merged, and the name after the merger will be the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Education Committee; the operation of the Provincial Cadre Health Care and Protection Committee will be terminated, and its functions, tasks, organization, and apparatus will be transferred to the Provincial General Hospital; the operation of a number of Party Committees will be terminated, and two Party Committees will be established directly under the Provincial Party Committee.

In addition, some public service units will also be transferred to appropriate departments. For the organization, the district-level apparatus will merge the departments and offices with functions and tasks as mentioned above.

Regarding the establishment, separation, merger and consolidation of grassroots Party organizations, the Standing Committee of the district-level Party Committee shall consider and decide in accordance with the general plan.
